Direct Patient Care

Let’s talk Direct Patient Care!
What is DPC? Direct patient care is a method of delivering a higher level of service paired with medical care. Generally, for a monthly fee a patient “subscribes” to a medical practice. In exchange for this fee, the patient receives medical care (generally primary care, urgent care, physicals, cancer screenings and the like). The medical provider typically offers additional services such as availability (urgent care appointments within 1-48 hours), more direct access to the provider via email or telephone and avoids the hassles of copays or insurance authorizations.
Do I still need insurance? Insurance is still recommended for things like imaging, hospital care, specialty care or major injuries and surgery.
Why should I pay for both? Insurance can be expensive, and on the surface, this is a good question. However, needing care for something like a sinus infection, and being told the next appointment is in 3 months is not useful. And copays can quickly add up! The relatively low cost, the inclusive nature of most DPC plans and the utter convenience of it all make this a very good value for many, many patients.
Send us a message with any questions about the specifics of OUR Direct Patient Care plan. We are proud of the high quality of care we offer, paired with service not typically associated with the medical field, and would love to add you to our health care family!
